We are happy to announce that we will be starting a new animator related project called FLINT BASE from April, 2026.
FLINT BASE is a newly established animation studio backed by Sony Group, created as a joint endeavor between CloverWorks and A-1 Pictures, which are both subsidiary animation studios under Aniplex Inc.

Until now, both CloverWorks and A-1 Pictures have trained and developed their animator staff within their own animation departments, and plan to continue doing so moving forward as well. However, given the concrete baseline that anime is produced by making hand drawn illustrations move, there is a constant and critical need for more animators in the field despite developments and digitization of tools and assets.
Thus, FLINT BASE was created as a path of entry for students aiming to become animators some day.
